A three-level filtered spectral forecast model including orography has been developed, using the difference method, vertically, the degradation of dimensionality, and a perfect spectral method latitudinally and pseudo-spectra] methods longitudinally. The wave numbers taken along the parallels and the meridians are 15 and 13 respectively. In time integration, the time step is taken as a function of wave number. Since September in 1974, a number of examples have been computed, with fairly good results.

文中,非线性项的处理用了变维方法,纬向的“完全的谱方法”及经向的“准谱方法”,既有利于克服非线性不稳定,且能大大节省计算量及存储量,使之能在小型计算机上实现其程序设计。通过设计多个地形曲面的办法来考虑地形的作用。在时间差分格式中,将时间步长取成波数的函数,有利于节省计算量。这模式从一九七四年九月开始进行了较多个例的预报实验,其72小时以内的预报效果是比较好的。

In this paper, a time integral scheme based on variational principle is preseh-ted. The dimensionless form of the primitive equations is taken into account and the sum of the kinetic and available potential energies is used as the variational constraint condition in order to prevent the nonlinear instablity during long-term numerical integration. The results are comparable with those used by other integral methods.

The computational results show that if amplitudes both of these instabilities are equal at initial time, the amplitude increments of the nonlinear barotropic instability are always less than these of the linear barotropic instability, the nonlinear effects can slow the exponential growing of linear instability, necessary time that two kinds of instabilities cause that amplitudes go up once as compar ' with initial ones for, is about 6 hours for linear instability, and is 18 hours ior nonlinear instability, the latter is identical with the observational facts in the real atmosphere.

本文从无摩擦的、无辐散的非线性正压涡度方程出发,利用行波解,在相平面上对方程的平衡点分别导得线性和非线性正压不稳定判据,与传统的不稳定判据作了比较分析。还求得了线性和非线性不稳定波的解析解,计算结果表明,若初始时刻两者波幅相等,则以后非线性不稳定波幅的增长值总小于线性不稳定波幅的增长值。非线性效应有使线性不稳定指数型增长减缓的作用。不稳定使得振幅比初始时刻增大一倍所需要的时间,对于线性不稳定大约是6h,对于非线性不稳定大约是18h,后者与实际大气中的观测事实是一致的。
