SPA-4 Bone Mineral Analyzer is an up-to-date developed one. which can use either~(241) Am radiation source (3.7GBq) or ~(125)I liquid source (1GBq), and which can be used to measure bone mineral content of adult leg and arm, that of infants and children, that of rat. ~(241)Am radiation source is set permanently inside the instrument. To measure bone of infants and children or that of rat, just set the standard ampoule of ~(125)I liquid source into the spcialty designed lead chamber inside the instrument, do not need to do any processing of ~(125)I liquid source, or to replace any part of the instrument. It is very simple and easy to set up and replace ~(125)I liguid source. This instrument uses a new working mode that gamma-ray penetrates the samples downwards, and thus guarantee the radiation protection safety of the operator. The procedure of measurement is personal computer aided, completely automated, and of operator-to-computer communication in chinese character. And the results can printed at with parallel printer.

本文介绍由中国测试技术研究院发展的一种新型单光子骨矿分析仪,就是SPA-4型骨矿分析仪。这种仪器有两大特点:一是不仅可以使用3.7吉贝可(100毫居)长寿命的国产镅—241放射性同位素源,而且可以在同一台仪器上使用1吉贝可(27毫居)这样弱的国产液体碘-125同位素放射源;二是采用了γ射线束向下透射标本的方式,不单是从原理上可以提高仪器的精确度,而且不论对患者还是对医生而言,都是最可靠的安全防护方式。由于有这两大特点,使得该仪器在测量包括股骨在内的成人四肢骨时,因为使用镅-241源就可以长期不更换放射源;需要测定婴幼儿和大白鼠时,可以用低γ射线能量27千电子伏的碘-125来进行。这就极大地提高了一台仪器的使用价值。用镅-241测成人桡骨骨矿含量时,精密度可达±(2—3)%。用碘—125测大白鼠股骨时可达±(3—5)%。因为γ射线束是向下透射方式,使得仪器除了在源和探头之间的窄小空间有γ射线外,仪器四周没有γ射线放射出,对工作环境不带来危害,可以放在一般的房间。对患者一次检查扫描测量三次,其接受的剂量只有45.5微戈(约5毫伦),没有辐射危害;对操作医生而言,不受到γ射线照射,绝对安全。
