中国北方超大型热水沉积硫化物矿床产于秦岭中段和阴山西段两区,主要类型为多金属及硫铁矿床。地质地球化学特征与世界中元古界和古生界( 主要为泥盆系) 中的SEDEX 硫化物矿床基本相同:成矿时代为1-4 ~1-2 Ga 和0-4 ~0-3 Ga, 均产于克拉通边缘盆地中;矿体延长达千米以上,具多层性特征;富硫化物矿石为块状条带状,矿物组合简单,有显著分带性;硫同位素组成为海相硫酸盐型,铅同位素为混合程度较高的均匀性铅等。研究表明,中国北方的SEDEX 矿床与世界同类矿床有相似的形成条件,即形成于大陆边缘演化中的破裂晚期至聚合初期,受地热异常岩浆侵入冷却退变质作用系统控制。同生期热水沉积成矿形成了矿床的基本规模。后生期成矿元素的活化富集及矿体的加厚作用,对于形成巨大规模和高品位矿石的超大型矿床是重要的。
