In this papeer the results of the primary researches about the problems of variable mass are presented. It contains both the formulations of Gauss' Principle of Least Constrarnt and of Hertz's Principle of Least Curvature about systems with variable mass, and the comparisons between the systems with constant mass and the systems with variable mass are given.
