    A calculation method for numerical visible flow field near hull surface and ship wave resistance applying Panel method in personal computer is presented. The comparison of numerical simulation for a series of ship models by both present and Michell methods with corresponding measured results from model basin tests is carried out, which shows that this Panel method is more accurate and stable in wave resistance coefficients than Michell integral in medium and low Froude number range.

In view of the incompatibility of the Kochin function for shallow and deep water,depth influence factors are proposed to take into consideration the effect of water depth on wave resistance in shallow water. The Kochin function for shallow water is redefined and a new expression for wave resistance in shallow water is obtained. The simplified Kochin function and the corresponding linear wave resistance formula for shallow water are derived by an analysis of the order of magnitude and approximation. The wave resistance characteristics in shallow water are discussed and some practical phenomena are explained.

In linear ship wave-making problem, constant boundary elements are ued to discretlze the inter-face of a steady moving ship and the water. The boundary value problem of Laplacian equation is con-verted into a boundary integral equation in which a line integral is included. With the numericalmethod, the difficulty of establishing equations for nodal points on the route of the line integral isavoided since the source points are arranged on the middle points of constant elements so that Havelocksource function...

Numerical examples showthat the numerical method is practical for the computation of wave-making resistance of slenderships.

采用常数边界元对船舶与流体界面进行离散,求解船舶兴波势及船舶兴波阻力。这种方法可避免在船舶与流体自由面交线上安置节点,因而避免了为这些节点建立补充方程。因为满足自由面条件的Havelock源函数的源点和场点不能同时在自由面上,使得自由面上的节点无法用Havelock源函数建立方程。如对自由面交线上的节点建立补充方程,则要对线性自由面条件中包含的未知势函数的二阶导数用差分形式表达,引入较大误差。
