KNd0.9Ln0.1P4O12 crystals (Ln=La, Ce, Pr, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tim, Yb, Lu or Y) have been grown by evaporation solution methed. Their X-ray diffraction patterns, infrared, absorption, fluorescent spectra and fluorescent lifetime have been measured. The effects of Ln3+ on KNdP4O12 have been observed.

Fe~(3+)_(0.062) Ti_(0.006))_(1.827) Si_(3.254) O_(12) for occurrence Ⅱ. Unite cell parameter a=11.55(Ⅰ),a=11.57(Ⅱ).Infrared absorption spectra are also given. It is suggested that the almandite of occurrence Ⅰ crystallized from primitive magma, but occurrence Ⅱ resulted from volcanic hydrothermal activity.
