The properties of the joints with one side fillet weld connecting the webs to flanges in H shaped steel members used in light weight steel structures, have not been yet thoroughly researched by tests. Two basic experiments are reported. The deepness of the weld root was measured by metallographic examination on 57 pieces of samples, and the other 26 specimens where the welds were subjected to shear forces are loaded. The results show that the joints with one side fillet weld have sufficient loading capacity and deformablility to shear force under monotonic loading conditions, and the resistance of the weld can be calculated by the provisions of the present design specification of the steel structures.

在轻型钢结构建筑中采用的以单面角焊缝连接翼缘和腹板的组合H形截面钢构件 ,其焊缝接头性能尚未得到充分的试验验证。为此进行了两个基础性系列试验 :对单面角焊缝接头的 5 7个试件通过金相分析测定熔深 ,对 2 6个试件进行焊缝抗剪试验。试验结果表明 ,在单调静力荷载条件下 ,单面连接角焊缝有良好的承载和变形性能 ,可以按照钢结构设计规范有关规定计算其设计承载力。

The test of the ultimate strength of the axially compressed H shaped steel stubs with one side fillet weld and the relevant FEM analysis are reported.The results show that the loading capacity of the stubs with thin webs is not sensitive to one side fillet weld,but for those with thick webs,the ratio of the deepness of the weld root to the thickness of the web has some influence on the ultimate strength.

通过单面焊接H形截面短柱极限承载力试验和相应的有限元计算与分析 ,表明在静力荷载条件下 ,较薄腹板构件的极限承载力对单面角焊缝接头并不敏感 ;但在腹板较厚的构件中 ,角焊缝的相对熔深对其极限承载力有一定的影响。
