In the upstream of EPON, TMDA is widely used currently while WMDA looks great potential in the future. Based on TMDA technology, a modified dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm, which integrates Polling scheme and requesting priority, is proposed. Simulation results prove that the algorithm is characteristic of low average package delay and high bandwidth utilization.
