The principle of the influencing coefficient method for whole machine spot balancing of a rotatory machinery was introduced. Focused on the acquisitions of the amplitude and phase of the imbalanced vibration, the design of the intellectual instrument embedded with a microcontroller for whole machine spot balancing was discussed in detail. With the developed instrument, a balancing experiment on an air blower was conducted and it made the vibration of the air blower drop from 4 3 mm/s to 0 3 mm/s. The experimental...

The principle of the influencing coefficient method for whole machine spot balancing of a rotatory machinery was introduced. Focused on the acquisitions of the amplitude and phase of the imbalanced vibration, the design of the intellectual instrument embedded with a microcontroller for whole machine spot balancing was discussed in detail. With the developed instrument, a balancing experiment on an air blower was conducted and it made the vibration of the air blower drop from 4 3 mm/s to 0 3 mm/s. The experimental result indicated that the principle of the instrument was correct and feasible and the instrument had a good prospects in the manufacture and maintenance of agricultural machinery.
