Directionally solidified techniques were used for a group of Ni-Al-C-Ti(Hf, Nb, Ta)quaternary nickel-based alloys specially designed in this study. By using DTA analysis connecting the metallography observation, it is revealed that the solidification features of these simplified superalloys are similar to industrial superalloys. These kinds of alloys can act as model alloys for studying the soli-dification processes of industrial superalloys. The striking solidification features of the simplified superalloys revealed by quantitative metallurgraphy, electron microprobe and SEM techniques are as follows:(1)The morphological charicter of TiC and HfC is basically the same the less developed arms, relative small size and disconnected block; on the contrary, both NbC and TaC grow in the shape of typical Chinese-script type. This disparity is a basic reason for causing morphological changes of MC carbides in industrial superalloys,(2)There are more amounts ofγ-γ'eutectics in Ti and Hf bearing alloys than that in Nb and Ta bearing alloys.(3)The dendritic segre-gation of carbide formation elements decresess according to the sequence of Hf, Nb. Ti and Ta.

Effects of trace elements on the hardness values and hardness changing tendency of modified Inconel X 750 alloys at elevated temperature have been studied The hardness values of experimental alloys aged at 500℃,600℃,700℃,800℃ and 900℃ for various periods of time,respectively,have been measured It shows that the addition of trace elements in the experimental alloys can significantly delays the decrease of hardness during long time service at high temperature,and improves the alloys hardness values,especially those related to the aging process at less than 700℃ In comparison with Ta,Nb can act well and effectively as strengthening elements Moreover,the alloy in which the same amount of Nb is used instead of Ta has better properties,e g ,with a relatively slower decrease in alloy hardness after aged at all temperatures mentioned above The hardness of all modified Inconel X 750 alloys reach as high as 40HRC and above The value and changing tendency of alloy hardness indicate that it can be successfully used as high precision die materials at elevated temperature

研究了微量元素对InconelX-750改型合金高温时效硬度及其变化规律的影响,测试了试验合金在500℃、600℃、700℃、800℃及900℃下,经不同时间时效后合金显微硬度值的变化。研究表明,微量元素可以延缓合金高温长期使用时的硬度下降,提高合金的高温硬度值,尤其在700℃以下使用时,微量元素的作用效果更明显。比较用Nb和Ta的强化效果发现,含Nb合金的高温使用性能比含同等量Ta合金的好,硬度下降缓慢,硬度值较高。合金高温时效后的硬度值及其变化规律表明,InconelX-750改型合金在热处理后的硬度可达40HRC以上,即使在700℃下长时间时效,合金的硬度值下降不显著,因而可用作高温精密模具材料。
