The Schrodinger equation is reduced into a coupled hyperradial differential equation, and then is directly solved by the generalized Laguerre function expansion method to derive a generalized...

The eigenenergy better than Hartree-Fock precision for the lithium ground-state 12S is obtained only by taking into account the subset (l1=l2=l3=0) of the complete set of nine-dimensional hyperspherical harmonics. The result shows that the method presented here is an effective improvement on the HH-GLF method.
