The present communication reports the result of research in the geochemistry of zinc and lead in farming areas of Shanghai.The process of deposition and migration of zinc and lead in the soil and water of the above mentioned area is defined.The geo-chemical barrier of zinc and lead deposition and the absorption, as well as enrichment of the minerals by cereals were investigated.
