This research was conducted in MEIJI University, Japan. A kind of zeolite rock(Ohya-rock)in Japan was used as a gas-carrier in preparing the cellular concrete.Experiments include: fundamental properties of Ohya-rock as a gas-carrier; the effect of calcined temperature on the gas-carrying capacity; the pozzolanic reaction between Ca(OH)_2 and zeolite rock in the hydration of the binding material; the relationship between volume expansion of the cellular concrete and its mix proportion and consistency; the relationship between W/C ratio and the strength of cellular concrete.The conclusions are as follows: (1)Ohya-rock is a kind of zeolite rock, Its principal mineral composition is clinoptilolite. (2)The air volume produced by the powdered zeolite rock, calcined at 500℃ for 2h and then cooled and immersed in water, may reach as high as 42ml/10g. (3)The optimum size of zeolite rock powder used as a gas-carrier should be less than 1.2mm.(4) In order to obtain the best expansion, the cement paste should have a suitable consistency. In this investigation the mix proportion is: cement 19~38%; zeolite rock powder 30~38%; water 31~48%. The resulting expansion factor of the cellular concrete is about 1.4~1.82. (5)The carrier can participate in the hydration of the binding material in the cellular concrete and the strength of the concrete will increase with age.

气体载体多孔混凝土是一种新型的轻质混凝土。用沸石岩作为气体载体,把空气带进水泥浆中,并使水泥浆膨胀,经凝结硬化以后,形成一种多孔结构的混凝土。 日本的大谷石是沸石岩的一种,在本研究中利用大谷石作为气体载体,与水泥浆拌合制备多孔混凝土。这种多孔混凝土标准养护28d的强度为43kg/cm~2(φ5×10cm的试件),容重为800kg/m~3左右。 大谷石粉末(1.2mm以下)在500℃下煅烧2h,然后在干燥器中冷却到室温,放入水中测定其发气量,可达42ml/10g。 大谷石还能参加胶凝材料的水化反应,因此,以大谷石为气体载体的多孔混凝土的强度能随着令期的增长而提高。
