在水稻花培后代中发现一种苗期叶片白化而成株转绿型突变体,将该突变性状转入温敏不育系培矮64S中育成白02S。本研究观察这一不育株系的叶色形态表现及育性稳定性,并测定了叶绿素含量变化规律。结果表明,不同生态条件下,该株系苗期叶片明显白化且表现稳定,一定叶龄后新出叶恢复正常绿色,成株生长与正常水稻无差别。白02S与正常叶植株杂交,F1表现正常绿色。研究认为该性状可作为一种形态标记性状应用于水稻杂交种子和不育系纯度的苗期快速检测鉴定。
