According to the data measured with the element method, it can understand the direction of the ventilation leakage and value of the ventilation leakage in the coal mining face, the gas emission value of different gas emission sources and the local gas accumulation.
Essentially, J-shape ventilation system is a new one of one intake and two returns for controlling high gas emission respectively according to different gas sources by using ventilation measure. Through practical application it is proved that local gas accumulation at coal face and its upper corner can be eliminated by adopting J-shape ventilation system, thus high-production and high-efficiency of fully mechanized sub-level caving face can be also realized.
