The new compiled textbook, Classical Chinese Readings, should be taught by the method of drawing-out, i.e., the teacher inspires the students with a few words, the students learn to recite the text by intensive reading. It is required a teacher should be an organizer, a cooperator/communicator, a promoter, a guider as well as an innovator in the new curriculum reform. The key issue of this reform is the change of teacher's role. The new pilot teaching materials may help this change and using these materials creatively is the main symbol of this change. Setting up a support net of the training and piloting and developing the ICT resource will strongly support the change of teacher's role.
