A new idea of successively using several mathematical models in digital simulation is suggested here. According to the characteristics of physical processes, three mathematical models,i.e., travelling wave model, multi-"π "-section model and the quasi-steady state model, are built. They can accommodate the different stages of fault transients.A new calculation method for machine-network interfacing is proposed, which has more advantages than the two used in "EMTP" of BPA.The results from computer agree with those obtained from scaled power system experiments. It shows that the mathematical models, as well as their computation and their flexible mutual-transformation are practical and reasonable. It also shows the advantages that can be gained by successive simulation using several models.The program can be further extended and used in researches of power system harmonics, study of the performance of protective relaying, and so on.The first part of the paper will discuss the calculation method of machine-network interfacing, and the second part will deal with the mutual-tranformation of the three mathematic models.

The principles, approaches and design of the fault diagnosis system for 6502 serial micro computers are presented and the methods of diagnosis programming are also given. Finally, some programs are listed to illustrate how the system diagnoese faulte.
