Applying a two-step flotation process instead of the conventional bulk flotation to Ag-Pb-Zn sulphides ore, great profits have been achieved. Based on the different response of minerals to flotation, the most appropriate grinding fineness, collector and pH values are selected for Ag, Pb and Zn sulphides, so that the best concentration is gained. Based on the different response of minerals to flotation, the most appropriate grinding fineness, collector and pH values are selected for Ag, Pb and Zn sulphides, so that the best concentration is gained. By using this method, product quality and recovery can be greatly increased and the content of SiO2 in the concentrate reduced. Proved successful in commercial-scale trial and production, this process provided a final recovery of 90.67% Ag, 85.87% Pb and 90.67% Zn, increased by 27.67% Ag, 12.87% Pb and 15.67% Zn respectively compared with the previous technology.
