According to the road traffic safety condition of China,based on the motorization development trend in last 10 years in China,the author forecasts motor vehicle population over 2004～2015 and the development level under different development strategies in the China.
Compared with some developed countries, the disparity of the traffic safety condition in Urumqi is very big, At present in countries such as the US, Japan, and so on, the casualties of every ten thousand automobiles are about 2 ~ 3 people, Norway dropped to 1.2 people, but the same time in Urumqi, the casualties of every ten thousand automobiles are 20 people.
Based on the factors that influence the city's transportation security,the city's transportation safe evaluation target system has been established. Through AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method,the evaluation to the city traffic safety is carried out. Taken Lanzhou city as an example,the traffic safety condition,the factors that influence traffic safety and the protection of traffic conducts of Lanzhou city are evaluated.
As a matter of fact,the basic reason for traffic accident is negli-gence of the persons concerned,so the fundamental measure to improve traffic safety condition is to spur the persons concerned to be adhere to the traffic rules strictly.
Beginning with the existing maritime traffic safety situation, it studies the navigable environment adaptive to yacht development by PHA at the basis of the statistic analysis of maritime incidents during the last years and then analyses the potential risks in marine environment in Shanghai Port.
Taking the development of modern road traffic system in Japan as an example,the relevant safety characteristics and intrinsic causation of modern road traffic system in different developing periods were analyzed in depth.
According to analyzing the road traffic accidents of Heilongjiang Province and Liaoning Province in 2000 and Harbin City from 1989 to 2000 which locate in cold region, this paper studies the distributive regularities and finds out the characteristics of the distribution of the road traffic accidents in cold region, which is hoped to help the traffic management department to improve the situation of road traffic safety in cold region and reduce the quantity and losses of accidents.
In order to evaluate the effects of ITS in traffic safety, the paper selected some evaluation indexes of traffic safety, valuated the effect of Chongqing ITS on traffic safety,proved that ITS can improve the traffic safety effectively.
And on the base of these problemes, we analyze the traffic safety status of east、 middle region and west region from the point of accident forms and weather factors,and we also analyze the relationship between accident reasons and traffic safety facilities system.
The Presentday situation of the traffic safety at sea and problems arising from the introduction of new technology are briefly surveyed. Those marine accidents which have happened in recent years and have caused heavy losses are analysed. Some of the foundation work which will lead to the strengthening of traffic safety at sea is discussed.
