The proliferation, migration and differentiation of newborn rat's cerebellar granule cells in tissue culture were studied under scanning electron microscopy. We found that granule cells migrated peripherally from the border of the explant, either attaching to the fiber tract or joining with the neuroglia. The longer the granule cells were incubated, the farther they migrated, and they matured as they migrated. Initially, the granule cells had no processes. Later, the processes appeared and increased in number...

Later, the processes appeared and increased in number gradually. Apparently, the cerebellar granule cells in tissue culture retain some of their biological characteristics which had been observed in vivo.

用扫描电镜观察体外培养新生大鼠小脑颗粒细胞的增殖、迁移和分化。发现颗粒细胞从种植片的边缘沿纤维束或神经胶质细胞向周围迁移。培养的时间愈长,迁移的距离愈远,细胞也愈接近成熟。细胞的突起从无到有,由单突发展到多突。提示体外培养的小脑颗粒细胞仍保留体内细胞的一些生物学特性。
