The paper analyzes and discusses the working principle,operation method and forces acted on the valve,failure cause of the automatic recirculation valve installed in the main feedwater pump for Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant.Based on this analysis,the improve ment of mator-driven stop valve in by-pass pipe instead of original valve is given.
