The nature of the acidic surface of LaHY zeolite and the interaction ot its acidic sites with NaOH have been studied by butylamine titration and pyridine-IR method.
The good effect of acidic surface conditioner on the quality of color coating strip is verified by a series of laboratory works, it is also good to the strips ability of anti-peeling off and corrosion-resistant.
It is concluded from the results of XPS and AES measuring that there are strong interaction between W(+6),Zr(+4)and S(+6). IR spectroscopy show that there are OH groups and a strong Brφnsted acidity on the cata- lyst surface and the surface sulfur species has a chelating organic sulfate structure.

The influence of surface conditioning film, chromate passivating film and composite film on the adhesion and corrosion resistance of color coated sheet were studied. According to the experiments and results, it is feasible to manufacture color coated sheet of high quality via acid surface conditioning complex dry-in-place chromate passivating pretreatment techniques.

The paper studies the isotherm of the interactions among aspartic acid, glutamic acid, histidine, lysine, glycine, theorine, serine, alanine and γ-MnOOH or goethite in seawater. These isotherms are of Freundlich type at pH8.10.
