Dwarfing stocks of SH scries apples are danal scion-rooted apple stocks crossed be-tween Ralls and M. honanensis. Controls are M9,M7, MM106 clonal scion-rooted stocks and M. baccata seedling stocks. Graft varieties are Yu Hong ( No . 3 Starking) , Golden Decicious, Fuji, etc. They were crossed in 1978 , and established in the autumn of 1982 . After 5 consecutive years' observation on biologcal traits, phenological phases and horticultural characters as well as analysis and determination on mineral nutrition, net photosynthetic efficiency, stomatic resistance, transpiration intensity and ABA content, a series of SH apple dwarfing stocks have been selected from 4100 stock hybrid single strains.The present paper reports SH3, SH4, SH5, SH9, SH12, SH14, SH15, SH20, SH21, SH29 ten outstanding superior stocks from the SH series. Their common characters are early - flowering and early-fruiting, with dwarfing or semi- dwarfing trunks, stress-resistant ( drought-resistant, lodging- resistant, bolting-resistant) , early stable high-yielding, brightred fruit coloring, high quality and rich flavor, high content of soluble solid matter, hard fruits suitable for storage, and easy to propagate. Their comprehensive characters sur- pass those of controls, that is, new series apple dwarfing stocks of M9, M7, MM106 and M. baccata.

SH系列苹果矮化砧木系国光×河南海囊种间杂交育出的苹果无性系自根砧,对照为M_9,M_7,MM_(106)无性系自根砧和山定子实生砧,嫁接品种为羽红(3号 红星)、金冠、富士等.1987年杂交,1982年秋定植于鉴定圃.经过5年的生物学特性、物候期及园艺学性状观察,以及矿质营养,净光合效率,气孔阻力,蒸腾强度,ABA含量等分析测定,4100个砧木杂交单系中选出SH系列苹果矮化砧木.本文报道的是SH系列中SH_3、SH_4、SH_5、SH_9、SH_(12)、SH_(14)、SH_(15)、SH_(20)、SH_(21)、SH_(29)等10个突出的优系砧木.它们的共同性状表现为早花早果,树体矮化、半矮化,抗逆性强(抗旱、抗倒伏、抗抽条),早期丰产稳产,果实着色浓红艳丽,含可溶性固形物高,风味浓,品质好,果实硬度大耐贮藏,容易繁殖,综合性状超过对照M_9、M_7、M_(106)和山定子的苹果矮化砧木新系列.

According to thirty year research and practice in application of imported dwarfing apple rootstocks, role of the rootstocks in high density apple growing was appraised. The results of large scale regional experiment indicated that some of the rootstocks possess high adaptability and hardness under environmental stress. In term of regional utilization, it is suggested that M7, M26, M9, MM106 and M4 can be used in both humid temperate and cold with semi-moist winter climate zones whereas only M7, MM106 and M4...

Considering the features of dwarf apple trees in intensive apple cultivation, it is necessary to canduct a series of techniques in China including (1) using proper rootstocks and interstems without support pole. (2) selecting proper density and combination of scions with rootstocks according to their growth vigor, local environment, cultivation ways and management, (3) applying spindle and slender spindle training and pruning, (4) flower or fruit thining to control proper fruit baering. (5) in areas where winter injury is easy to occur, multi-prevent means were recommanded to increase winter hardness of the apple trees

本文总结了中国30多年来对苹果矮化砧木的利用工作,依据大范围的区域试验结果,论述了矮化砧木在苹果密植丰产栽培中的作用,提出了利用苹果矮砧的区划意见,以及与矮砧苹果相适应的系列栽培技术,最后就矮化砧木利用中的看法进行了讨论。作者认为在中国的主要苹果产区如渤海湾、胶东、黄河故道、秦岭北麓以及渭北高原等地均可栽培矮砧苹果,现在已经有了比较成熟的经验,因地制宜地选择利用矮化砧木,将对提高中国的苹果栽培水平起到积极作用。

In this study, gas chromatography was used to analyze the abscisic acid (ABA) content in the leaves of dwarf and arborescent rootstocks (rootstocks or grafted trees). Analysis began on May 10 and ended on November 10. The results showed that ABA content in the leaves of dwarf and arborescent rootstocks changed in a similar manner during the growth period. This change influenced branch growth speed, development and leaf fall.ABA content in the leaves of dwarf rootstock was higher than that of arborescent rootstocks....

Furthermore the ABA content in the leaves and the characters of trees from line M of Malus pumilla, from line S of Malus honanensis intermediate stockgrafted trees,and from SH single crossed line grafted trees was analyzed by the regression analysis method. The results showed that the ABA content was negatively correlated with the height of trees, perimeter of trunks and the length of shoots.

用气象色谱法分析了苹果矮化砧木和乔化砧木5月10日~11月10日叶片内源脱落酸(ABA)的含量水平。结果表明:(1)矮化和乔化砧木叶片内ABA含量以相似的规律变化着,其内在变化影响树体新梢生长、幼芽发育及落叶等生长环节,(2)矮化砧木的ABA含量水平始终高于乔化砧木,通过对M,S和SH系的相关分析,表明树体叶片的ABA含量水平与树体高度、树干周长及新梢长度均呈显著负相关。
