A model for flexible AC transmission system transient stability via the dynamic digital simulation is proposed. The simultaneous solution for differential and algebraic equation is applied in order that the fast action of FACTS devices can accurately respond to the power system transient. Examples of test system show that the proposed model and method are correct. This provides an effective tool for studying the transient stability and control strategy of FACTS.

This paper presents a multi target oriented optimal control strategy for FACTS devices named intelligent predictive evaluating control method (IPEC). The novel control approach synthesizes advantages of the predictive control method and the inverse system control principle and divides the procedure of determining the control signals of FACTS devices into two steps. The first step is to select the optimal output from all output candidates of FACTS devices, then the next step calculates the real control signals...

This paper presents a multi target oriented optimal control strategy for FACTS devices named intelligent predictive evaluating control method (IPEC). The novel control approach synthesizes advantages of the predictive control method and the inverse system control principle and divides the procedure of determining the control signals of FACTS devices into two steps. The first step is to select the optimal output from all output candidates of FACTS devices, then the next step calculates the real control signals according to the selected one. In these steps the artificial neural network technology and fuzzy reasoning method are used to set up the predictive model of power system and to solve the multi target optimization problem respectively. The construction of the controller based on IPEC is also introduced in detail by taking the new controller of the advanced static var generator (ASVG) as an example. The computer simulation results presented at the end of this paper show the effectiveness of the new control method.

一种新的FACTS设备的多目标优化控制方法,即FACTS设备的智能预估控制方法综合了预测控制和逆系统控制的优点,将确定FACTS设备最优控制信号的过程分解为先对FACTS设备的候选输出进行筛选作业,以求得FACTS设备的最优输出,然后再根据最优输出反演计算FACTS设备的实际控制信号这样两个子过程。在各个子过程中,人工神经网络技术和模糊推理方法被分别用于解决不同的问题。文中还以先进的静止无功发生器(ASVG)为例介绍了基于智能预估控制方法的FACTS设备智能预估控制器的设计步骤,计算机仿真的结果证实了这种新的控制方法的有效性。
