This paper emphasizes the necessity of students' language using competence training on the basis of analyzing the graduates' and undergraduates' English language using competence and studying relevant materials, and makes it clear that language using competence should be put in the most important position in college English teaching. The relation between the language using competence and the test performing competence of the students are also analyzed. Some new ideas of students' language using competence training in the four language skills are presented.

本文在分析了我院大学生和大学毕业生的英语语言运用能力以及研究了相关材料的基础上,强调语言运用能力培养的必要性,明确提出语言运用能力培养应放在大学英语教学的首要位置上,同时分析了语言运用能力与应试能力的关系,提出了培养学生在读、听、写、说四个方面语言运用能力培养的一些新观点。
