Research results indicate that the electric supercharger can respond rapidly with the great flux, and it is independent of the operating conditions of a diesel engine.
Engines having twin branch-systems may suffer torsional vibration of an asymmetrical nature at the branches due to superposition of a parallel pattern on a symmetric pattern. The asymmetry will change-side according to load and speed. Rules of this change-side are reasoned analytically and confirmed by tests. Remedies are suggested and put into practice to alter the position in cases where such vibrations are severe.
