The egg yolk lecithin was chosen as a model system which was irradiated by UV light in air to generate lipid peroxy radical at -130℃.The scavenging effect of selenium on peroxy radical was directly investigated with two kinds of selenium compound by means of electron spin resonance (ESR) technique. Experimental restlts show that the scavenging effect of organic selenium compound (Se(CH2 COOH)2) is stronger than that of the inorganic (SeO_2).

Plasma GSH-PX activity of 0.57iu/ml, liver and plasma selenium conc-entration of 0.147±0.055, and 0.025±0.002ppm respectively were the critical levels below which death could be expected.

With SnCl2 as the reducing apent. seleuomet-hionine reacts with CNBr to form CH3SeCN, which is extracted by CaCl3 and then digested to form SeO3-. followed by determining SeO3- as 5-nitropiaselenole by gas chromatogra-phy with ECD. Methionine, inorganic seSelenium and other selenoamino acids don't interfere with the determination. This procedure can be used for the analysis of trace selenomethionine in plants and animals...

提出痕量硒蛋氨酸测定方法——CNBr—piaselenole—GC法。在还原剂存在下,硒蛋氨酸与CNBr定量反应生成CH_3SeCN,经CHCl_3萃取后消化成Se(1V),继而用气相色谱法测定Se(1V),以间接测定硒蛋氨酸,共存的无机硒、硒胱氨酸无干扰:本法回收率为93,1±5,4%,可用于测定生物体中pp(?)级硒蛋氨酸而无需酸水解等过程。
