In this paper,it is introduced that the refractory castable mix made of 15% of ordinary Portland cement and 85% of refractory powder replaces the simplex refractory powder, as the mortar material in the, lining of mechanized shaft kiln, leading to good benefit. The compressive strength is over 50kg/cm~2 and the volume stability is still high under high temperature.
