The experience of tangential excition in 641 burn wounds showed that this method is suitable for deep 2nd degree and superficial 3rd degree burns of different extent in different areas.
Method: 201 cases of deep 2 nd degree burn were divided into 2 groups. 141 cases were treated with MEBT/MEBO, according to a 3 course scheme, 20-25 days for each course. 60 cases were treated with 1% SD-Ag Cream as a control.
Results:This method was used in a total of 97 donor sites of 13 patients from May 2002 to November 2005,whose TBSA was from 70% to 94%and whose mean TBSA was(83.92±6.65)%. Operation were done on these severe burned patients whose mean deep two degree were (33.46±23.03)% and whose mean three degree were(47.16±24.20)%.
Compared with group B, the proliferation of repair cells in group A was more active, the amount of collagen syntheses was higher and the wound healing time was 1-3 days earlier.
