Since they contain effect of heat conduction, eff(?)t of internal friction and the dissipation term which describes the transformation from kinetic energy into internal energy, they keep the total energy unchanged. In this paper, the equations of a(?)mospheric circulation are discussed. A class of weighted-average conservative schemes is given, which describe the conservation by discrete model. The censervative scheme used in common is suboptimal only. Using Jessen's inequality, Hardy's inequality and others, we prove strictly that under certain conditions the prediction error is controllable and the scheme is convergent. The method used here is suitable for the atmospheric equations in o-coordinate system. The American naval model is one of the special cases. The technique to prove the errors here is helpful to other compressible flow problems too.

In this paper, the spatial oscillations in finite difference solutions for Navier-Stokes shocks are explored. It is shown that the second order diffusion term added to NS equations could smear the shock wave, damp the oscillations in the vicinity of the shock. However, the third order dispersion term and fourth order diffusion term added to NS equations could cause the oscillations in upstream and downstream region of the shock under the conditions given by this paper.
