When the cathode voltage is ?82kV, the source has a peak output current of 19A with the pulse width of 2.4ns. According to the result of the measurement, the effects on beam pulse and gun design of the electron transit time between electrodes are discussed shortly.

A tribotester consisting of ballondisc friction tester, atomic oxygen (AO) source, and ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) unit was developed in order to study the tribological properties of solid lubricants in low earth orbit (LEO) environments. A tribotester consisting of ballondisc friction tester, atomic oxygen (AO) source, and ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) unit was developed in order to study the tribological properties of solid lubricants in low earth orbit (LEO) environments. The apparatus has a lowest chamber pressure of 2.0×10-7 Pa, a normal contact load of 1~50 N for a ballondisc point contact configuration, and a continuously adjustable disc rotational speed of 50~3 000 r/min. The pilot test results show that the flux density of the atomic oxygen beam is as high as 3.0×1015 atoms/cm2·s, while the beam energy as high as 1~10 eV at a chamber gas pressure of 10-1~ 10-3 Pa. The comparative evaluation of the friction and endurance of sputtered MoS2 film and MoS2based composite films on the developed test rig and a CZM1 vacuum friction and wear tester indicates that the developed apparatus has good reliability and reproducibility. It can be used to study the tribological properties and failure mechanism of materials in LEO.

将超高真空系统、原子氧束流源和球-盘式摩擦试验机优化集成,研制出可在地面实验室条件下模拟低地球轨道原子氧和超高真空环境的摩擦试验装置.所研制的试验装置在无油真空环境下工作,极限压强达2.0×10-7Pa,漏率小于2.0×10-11Pa·m3/s;原子氧束流的通量密度大于3.0×1019atoms/m2·s,能量1~10eV,束流直径40mm,辐照距离达100mm,在1~100mPa气压范围内工作状态稳定;球-盘摩擦试验机的法向载荷为1~10N(最大接触压强达1.5GPa以上),试盘转速在0~3000r/min范围内连续可调,摩擦力可精确测量并连续记录.采用所研制的试验装置和CZM-1真空摩擦试验机对MoS2溅射薄膜试样进行比对试验,结果表明,所研制的装置具有较高的可靠性和较好的可比性.该装置可用于研究材料在地球低轨道环境中的摩擦学性能和破坏机制,为空间摩擦学研究提供基本试验手段和技术保障.
