System identification, adaptive controller and their applications in adaptive steering system have been studied in this paper. An improved extended recursive least squares estimation algorithm has been presented. With the result of computer simulation, it has been shown that the algorithm has the characteristics of rapid convergency, better stability and less computing amount. A new self-tuning control algorithm has been proposed. Theoretical deduction and computer simulation demonstrated that it has the advantages inherent in both minimal variance and pole-assignment controllers. It is applicable to any stable/unstable, minimumphase/non minimumphase systems. In comparison with usual minimal variance, pole-assignment and other algorithms, this algorithm posses the characteristics of higher tracking accuracy, smaller stable variance and wider suitable applications, moreover, it is less computation and easier to design in realization. The IBM-PC is made as a central unit to form an control device with specially designed interface boards. Both high-level and assembly languagesare used into programming according to the different functions, and then linked together. In this way, the computer control unit can satisfy the real-time processing requirement and provide stronger function in dialogue between operater and the device. Comparing with PID autopilot, the simulation experiment have demonstrated that the adaptive system can minimize the additional resistance caused by yaw and rudder angles, and increase the speed of the ship, while using the algorithms of the improved ELS and the new STC.

本文研究了系统辨识和自校正控制器的算法及其在自适应操舵系统中的应用,提出了一种改进的扩展最小二乘在线算法。仿真试验表明该系统辨识算法具有收效快、稳定性好、计算量小等特点。本文提出的一种新型自校正控制器算法,其理论推导和仿真结果表明,该算法兼有最小方差和极点配置控制器的优点,适用于任何稳定、非稳定、最小相位、非最小相位被控系统;与一般最小方差、极点配置等算法相比具有跟踪精度高、稳态方差小、适用范围广等优点;且运算量小、设计灵活。作者利用IBM—PC为控制主机,配合专门研制的接口电路组成操舵控制机。根据软件的不同功能分别采用高级语言和汇编语言编程,然后连接运行,既满足了控制的实时性要求,又提供了强有力的人机对话功能。仿真试验表明,与PID自动舵相比,应用本文提出的在线辨识和自适应控制算法的自适应操舵系统能减少偏航、转舵角所引起的附加阻力,并能相应提高航速。

Taking thc automatic on-line inspection of cleanliness of glass beverage bottles as a background, this paper studies the image feature extraction which is one of problems to use computer image processing and pattern recognition methods for realizing the automatic inspection problem. The paper presents an idea of detecting blot images by using the relative grey levels (RGL) of an image, a parameter for expressing the RGL feature, and a statistical approach of estimating the parametern To accord with the irregularity in geometric shape of beverage bottles and the complexity of the bottle images, a robust estimation approach is proposed to obtain a reliable estimate of the RGL feature. To meet real-time requirement of the on-line processing, two theorems about the RGL and its variance, and a fast robust estimation algor-ithm based on the theorems are given in the paper, and thus the conflict between the reliability and real-time in the feature extraction procedure is solved. The approach presented in the paper has been implemented in a com-puter image processing system, and the experimental results are quite satis-factory with practical requirements.
