A tetragonal dipyralnid crystal of cristobalite was crystallized from a silica brick used in the crown of glass tank furnace. The morphology of a-cristobalite was investigated by means of SEM and XRD, and the lattice constants were measured.

A discussion is made on therelationship between the variety and variation in the structure of the diatom frustules, providinginformation for exploitation of the rich diatomite resource in China.

In this paper, the crystal structure and molecular coordination structure of coesite-bearing eclogite from South-west of Anhui Province in central China has been studied by means of optic microscopy, X-ray diffractometer and Raman molecular microprobe, we first measured Raman scattering spectrum of ocesite in our laboratory in China and obtained the following conclusions: 1. Generally the high metamorphic coesite could not be crystallized into a larger-size grain, most of all are only several μm to several 10 μm in size. 2. According to theory of factor group analysis, it is determined the 465 cm~(-1) perk of quartz in symmetry breathing vibration (A_1)and the 521 cm~(-1)peak of coesite is determined io antisymmetry breathing vibration(Bg) 3. It is of the unique effect by examinig SiO_2 polymophises with Raman molecular microprobe. The study shows that the Si-O bond length is changeless in α-cristobalite (CR), quartz(QZ)and coesite(CS), but the density of(SiO_4)coordination is increasing from CR, QZ to CS and the density of minerals and(SiO_4)vibrational frequency of framework struchure are increasing as well. All this offered a fresh evidance for inverstigating the relationship between the molecular structure and the tempreture and pressure of geologic body.

采用光学显微镜、X衍射仪和拉曼分子探针对华中皖西南榴辉岩中的柯石英的晶体结构和分子配位体结构进行了研究,在中国自己的实验室中首次测定了自然柯石英的拉曼散射谱并获得下列结论:①通常高压变质柯石英是不可能结晶成大的颗粒,其大小为几个微米至几十微米。②根据因子群分析理论确定石英的465cm~(-1)峰为对称伸缩振动A_1,柯石英的521cm~(-1)峰为反对称伸缩振动Bg。③利用拉曼分子微探针鉴定SiO_2多形具有独特的效果,研究表明在α-方石英(CR)石英(QZ)和柯石英(CS)中Si-O键长基本不变,但是[SiO_4]配位体密度从CR、QZ至CS是递增的,并导致矿物密度及[SiO_4]架状结构振动频率的增加,这为研究分子结构与地质体温度、压力之关系提供了新的依据。
