A systematic study demonstrates that the sagging and hogging deformations of surface ships have some effect on the gap at the movable support of the longitudinal shafts, especially when the shofts are fixed at deck or bottom. In this paper. a new formula is proposed for calculating the appropriate gap at the movable support of the longitudinal shafts. Using this formula, the gap can be designed safer and more practicable because it has taken account of the effect of sagging and hogging deformation.

通过系统的分析及研究表明,水面舰艇中垂及中拱弯曲变形对纵向轴系游动端支座间隙有一定的影响,尤其当纵向轴系被固定在上甲板或舰底时,这种影响会达到不容忽视的地步。本文提出一项新的纵向轴系游动端支座合理间隙设计计算公式。由于该公式较客观地计及了舰艇中垂及中拱弯曲变形对纵向轴系游动端支座间隙的影响,因此,用该公式计算,可使水面舰艇纵向轴系游动端支座间隙设计变得更安全、更切合实际。

The paper proposes a new calculation method for determining the reasonable gap in the bearing at free end of the longitudinal shafting. The method accounts the effect of sagging and hogging bending deformation of ship hull on this gap and can lead to obtain a more safe and more suitable gap in designing the longitudinal shafting for the surface naval ship.

A magnetorheological(MR) clutch is a device to transmit torque by the shear stress of MR fluids.In this paper a geometric design method of the cylindrical clutch is carried out.The equations for the torque transmitted by MR fluids and the minimum active fluid gap between two cylinders are derived to provide the theoretical foundation in the geometric design of the clutch.The results show that the torque can be adjusted continuously by altering the strength of an applied magnetic field.In order to reduce the...

磁流变离合器是通过磁流变液的剪切应力传递转矩的器件。本文建立了圆筒式磁流变离合器的几何设计方法,得到了磁流变液传递的转矩和两圆筒间能产生磁流变效应的最小间隙的设计计算公式,为离合器的几何设计奠定了理论基础。研究结果表明:转矩可由外加磁场连续控制;选择磁饱和时高屈服应力和零磁场时低粘度的磁流变液材料,能使设计的离合器的尺寸小而紧凑。
