Element P exists in the form of FePO4 and N exists in the original valence state on the rubbing surface. It is understood that N has entered into the whole friction course.

The high-effective multifunctional lube oil additive (GSBT), being a borates com-plex containing S, P and N, was evaluated on SRV and four-ball testers. The results showed that theGSBT additive has good anti-friction, anti-wear, and anti-oxidation properties with improved oil-solubility, corrosion resistance and load-bearing capacity.
