Some key tecnological factors involved in the manufacturing process of Mullite-Fe_2O_3-Fe porous ceramic-metal composite were reported. The influence of composition and processing parameters on gas-permeability was investigated. A new type of gas-permeability measuring instrument was developed. The results indicated that adding proper amount of steel fiber, such as 1.5vol%, or drying with CaO powder may promote permeability obviously.
