A CAI study on CET is carried out in University of Petroleum, east China. In the procedure of a two year experiment of teaching a certain group of students fundamental English, a quick way of CAI courseware development is tried, a new mode of teaching college English with CAI is set up and an environment of helping and supervising students to do self study is constructed. It is positively concluded that a proper use of CAI can not only help reduce the classroom teaching time, but also help students improve their language ability mainly throught self study. It is proposed that a new dynamic and multidimensional college English teaching and learning system could be set up by making a wide use of CAI, especially by widely using intranet on the campus in English language teaching, by which CAI courseware could be quickly developed, students could do much self study and teachers could devote to both teaching and research work.

本文介绍石油大学 (华东 )应用CAI改革大学英语教学的研究成果。通过对地质 98大学英语基础阶段的两年试验教学 ,在团队协作、快速开发CAI课件 ,结合CAI建立学生自学环境 ,压缩课堂教学课时 ,改革教学模式 ,对学生的英语学习活动实施过程化督导等方面进行了有效尝试 ,取得了预期效果。同时 ,在起用校园网络 ,完善CAI研究与实践 ,扩大大学英语CAI实施规模方面 ,提出了动态、立体化大学英语教、学新体系。
