We present a novel method for analyzing the nonlinearity of the DFB laser for the first time.The method is based on a spectrum analysis with discrete Fourier transform(DFT)on the model of laser mapping functions. In view of the signal analysis, it avoids using some semiconductor parameters that are difficult to measure but necessary for analyzing in the method. The algorithm together with the mapping function derived from the measurement can examine the harmonic and intermodulation distortions of laser chip...

The algorithm together with the mapping function derived from the measurement can examine the harmonic and intermodulation distortions of laser chip and laser property of DFB laser module. The method is also applied to simulate the linear property of DFB laser and evaluate the linearity request for the laser chips. The comparison between the measurement and calculation shows that the algorithm is simple and effective for laser distortion analysis.

本文首次提出了一种新的分析CATV系统中的DFB发射光源的非线性失真的方法.该方法基于DFB激光器的输入-输出信号的映射函数,从信号分析的观点出发,采用离散傅立叶变换,直接得出CATV系统衡量非线性失真的测试参量.该方法避免采用一般分析方法中所必须的、一般不易测量的半导体激光器的参数,而从实验测得的输入-输出信号的映射函数出发,导出激光器管芯及激光器模块的各谐波分量和组合分量的大小.这种方法也可用来模拟DFB激光器的线性特性,提供对激光器管芯线性的定量估计.测试结果验证了本文给出的分析结果,证明了该方法的有效性.

Total electro-optics efficiency of lamp pumped YAG crystal as high as 4% is attained, and output power is 647W...
