The 3D models constructed by such systems are restricted to simple forms, but are effective for imaging and recognizing general forms. It is therefore useful to form detailed model surfaces using the characteristics lines given by the designer. The objective of this study is to develop a modeling system that creates characteristic shapes on model surfaces by indicating characteristics lines. The operations of the system are simple, requiring the input of only characteristics lines and their form parameters with a computer mouse or tablet-like drawing sketches. This paper discusses the algorithms proposed to realize the required functions of the system and the effectiveness of the system by implementing the algorithms.
