Simulating the increasing rate of temperature of raw meal nodules in shaft kiln, raw meal with composite mineralizer (F~-=1.0%, SO_=1.35%) was burnt in laboratory electric furnace, and the clinker produced was studied by EDXA, XRD, OM and chemical phase analysis.
It was shown to be possible to use an ordinary laboratory electric furnace of the Tamman type for determining the fusion temperature of highly refractory materials up to 2500°C in neutral atmospheres.
