To explore the clinical significance of serum and urinary pseudouridine determination in lung cancer,high performance liquid chramatography assay was used in patients with lung cancer,pulmonary benign space occupying lesion,pulmonary infectious diseases and in normal controls.The levels of serum and urinary pseudouridine in the patients with lung cancer were significantly higher than that in the patients with pulmonary benign space occupying lesion,pulmonary infectious diseases and in normal controls respectively.The pseudouridine concentrations were higher in extensive small cell lung cancer than that in limited small cell lung cancer.In non small cell lung cancer stage Ⅲ to Ⅳ,it was higher in comparison with stage Ⅰ to Ⅱ.It is suggested that pseudouridine may be a useful marker for diagnosis,judgment of illness stage in lung cancer.
