The oxidation process and mechanism of carbon-boring refractories was studied, followed by prearing an anti-oxidation coating. The application of foe coating showed good results when ugh on alumina-magnesia-carbon ladle lining, magnesia-carbon bricks at slag line,alumina-carbon subtherged nozzle and monolithic stopper. Little oxidized sulface was oborvedon the coated refractories and setwcc life has been increased.
