This work is to make experimental studies in the application of spectroscopy on the thermal distribution of argon plasma arc, and to determine the temperature field of the arc. We are to conduct researches in the application of multi-line and dual-line methods, Olsen's method and the dual-line methods to make comparative studies on the measurement of temperature through different pairs of spectrum lines. We also employed the Stark broadening effect of the H_β line to check the relative intensities of the spectrum...

This work is to make experimental studies in the application of spectroscopy on the thermal distribution of argon plasma arc, and to determine the temperature field of the arc. We are to conduct researches in the application of multi-line and dual-line methods, Olsen's method and the dual-line methods to make comparative studies on the measurement of temperature through different pairs of spectrum lines. We also employed the Stark broadening effect of the H_β line to check the relative intensities of the spectrum lines. The checking showed identical results. Besides, experimental analysis has been make on those factors influencing the result of temperature measurement (selection of spectrum lines, selection of the physical constant, ascertainment of the character of the emulsion of spectrum plate, etc. ). The result shows that the method of applying spectroscopy of temperature measurement is stable, reproducible and reliable. It has also been pointed out that by applying Ar Ⅱ 4348/Ar Ⅰ 4300, Ar Ⅱ 4426/Ar Ⅰ 4300, Ar Ⅱ 4589/Ar Ⅱ 4579 spectrum line pairs (the dual-line method)and Ar Ⅰ 4300(?) (Olsen's method) in the determination of argon plasma arc temperatures of 11000 K or over, such method of temperature measurement is also simple and reliable.

本研究工作对氩等离子弧的温度分布用光谱测量法进行了实验研究,并测得了氩等离子弧的温度场。本工作对多线法和两线法、奥尔辛法和两线法的测温方法分别进行了对比研究;还用Hβ线斯塔克展宽效应法对谱线相对强度法进行了校核,所测得的结果是吻合的;此外,对某些影响测温结果的因素所造成的误差进行了实验分析。研究结果表明,光谱测温法是稳定的,重复性是好的,结果是可靠的;并指出用A_rⅡ4348/A_rⅠ4300、A_rⅡ4426/A_rⅠ4300、A_rⅡ4589/A_rⅡ4579等谱线对的两线法和A_rⅡ4300的奥尔辛法测量11.000K以上的氩等离子弧的温度是一种既简便又可靠的测温方法。

In this paper, the temperature field of DC high frequency pulsed microplasma ar(?) was studi(?)d by the infra-red photograph microcomputer image processing method. The arc and gas flow were observed by the laser display technique. The axial pressure of arc was measured by a micro-pressure measuring instrument. Results show that the axial temperature gradient in the center of hi h frequency arc is lower than that of DC arc. When the pulse frequency is over 10 kHz, the diameter of high frequency arc constricts...

The arc and gas flow were observed by the laser display technique. The axial pressure of arc was measured by a micro-pressure measuring instrument. Results show that the axial temperature gradient in the center of hi h frequency arc is lower than that of DC arc. When the pulse frequency is over 10 kHz, the diameter of high frequency arc constricts with the frequency increment. This is more so at low current. The gas flow surrounding the high frequency arc is as stable as that in the case of DC arc. The maximum axial, pressure of the high frequency arc is higher than that of the DC arc. When the pulse frequency is over 10 kHz, the maximum axial pressure of high frequency arc decreases with the increase of pulse frequency.

采用红外摄象微机图象处理法对直流、高频脉冲微束等离子弧的温度场进行了测试;用激光显示技术观察了电弧与周围气流的形态;用微压测量器测量了电弧轴向压力。结果表明,高频电弧中心的轴向温度梯度低于直流电弧中心的轴向温度梯度。当脉冲频率大于10kHz时,随着脉冲频率的增加,高频电弧的直径逐渐缩小,小电流时尤为明显。高频电弧周围的气流具有与直流电弧周围气流相似的稳定性。高频电弧的最大轴向压力大于直流电弧。当脉冲频率大于10kHz时,脉冲频率增加,电弧最大轴向压力减小。
