A new effective process of quickly producing corn hybrid variety was developed,which included synthesizing the populations with wide genetic bases for breeding,selecting the inbred lines with high yield,high combining ability and excellent resistance, early progeny test and combination, increasing selection pressure, and arranging the trials in many environments for better identification and choice.

本文对丰抗兼优玉米新杂交种川农交9号的选育研究进行了总结。川农单交9号是在选育“三高”自交系48—2的基础上,用它与表型性状差异相对地大,目标性状与之互补的5003组配而成,并在加大选择压和多生态条件下鉴定出来的一个杂交种。该杂交种的突出特点是,把矮秆与大穗、丰产、多抗、中熟有机地结合于一体,具有广泛的适应性,对病害的多抗性以及种子生产的高产性,它具有广阔的开发前景。

The optimum comprehensive practices for high yield of the hybrid were, density of about 3500 plants, about 11.0 KG Navailable and about 5.0 KG P_2O_5 available per mu in the centre of the Sichuan Basin and around and in the high yield regions of the east, and density of 2813—3271 plants, 9.6—11.6 KG N available and 3.2—5.2 KG P_2O_5 available per mu in the lower yield regions of the east.
