The system was developed in the VB.NET environment,the inference engine algorithm was designed with Visual Prolog 6,and the effect knowledge base and databases were constructed with Microsoft SQL Server 2000.The developed expert system of conceptual sensor design is found to provide satisfactory heuristic design knowledge for the conceptual designer. But the system still needs constant improvement.
