The accurate modeling of cable behavior is of vital importance in the analysis anddesign of cable-supported stFUctures. In this paper, an itCfative approach of forming the cableelement stiffness matrix from the basic catenny relationships was introduced. Meanwhile, anefficient iterative scheme that calculates the elemental free length based on a linear searchalgorithm was also proposed for a cable element with given tension, which allows efficientcalculation of cable StrUc'tUres with different initial conditions....

In this paper an algorithm is first presented for the analysis of the continuous cable in tension structures based on a two node catenary cable element. For a continuous cable, the following three conditions must be satisfied in nonlinear finite element analysis: the nodal force balance condition, the cotinuous cable condition and the cable original length condition. Based on updated Lagrange description, a nonlinear finite element program is also developed using visual C++6.0.

考虑到张拉结构施工控制中索内力的变化 ,即索由只承受自重到承受外荷载 ,由预应力为零到承受很大的预应力 ,由悬索自垂到拉索绷紧 ,比较按离散索和连续索计算对张拉结构施工张拉的影响 ,以及探求一种广泛适用的连续索的计算模式和程序算法就显得非常必要。本文基于悬链线单元对此问题进行了系统分析和深入研究 ,提出了一种新的考虑索段滑移的悬链线索单元程序算法 ,并编制了相应的面向对象的有限元程序。对算例的验算表明本文方法是正确的。
