In this paper,the evolution of the dipole squeezing for a "V" type three-level atom driven by the two-mode coherent state field has been investigated. It is shown that dipole squeezing can be exhibited in the condition and is clearly influenced by the detuning and mean photon numbers,and that the three- level atom is more complicated than thetwo-level atom for the time evolution of the dipole squeezing.
