In this paper the gas-liquid stratified laminar and turbulent flows in open channel and the laws for water flow rate increase and drag reduction have been studied. It is pointed out that the water flow rate can obviously be increased, i. e. the drag can be reduced in gas-liquid stratified laminar and turbulent flows.

A new model of stratified laminar flow in pipe is proposed and the velocity distribution laws of stratified flow in pipe are studied.
