The physical and mechanical properties of sedimentary strata in Bohai Gulf are controlled not only by compact process with depth, but also by sedimentary environments, in which the sediments were deposited. The sedimentary strata consist of alternate continental and marine beds. The former are stiff with low moisture content, high wet density, high bearing capacity, but the latter are soft with high moisture content, low wet density, and low bearing capacity. The physical and mechanical properties of sedimentary strata in Bohai Gulf are controlled not only by compact process with depth, but also by sedimentary environments, in which the sediments were deposited. The sedimentary strata consist of alternate continental and marine beds. The former are stiff with low moisture content, high wet density, high bearing capacity, but the latter are soft with high moisture content, low wet density, and low bearing capacity. The fossil landscape was relief because of the erosion of continental beds, and the thickness of marine superstrata has been changnig greatly. Besides, the diapir structures usually develop in sedimentary beds, especially in delta areas. Great attention must be paid to all above-mentioned characters in building offshore drilling platforms, fixing drillnig ships, and laying submarine cables and pipelines. It is necessary in particular that buried depth, thickness and distribution of some important beds be drawn to supply references for related production departments. We attempt to draw some maps of some sedimenfary layers in an area of 100 square kilometers iu Bohai Gulf.

渤海湾浅部沉积层的物理力学性质除受制于随深度压缩固结的影响外,还取决于形成时的沉积环境。渤海湾浅部沉积由海、陆相层交替叠覆而成。陆相层致密硬塑,含水量低,湿容重大,具有较高的承载力。海相层含水量高,湿容重低,承载力差。陆相层的侵蚀切割使古地面起伏,上覆海相层厚度变化剧烈。此外,海底沉积层中常发育底辟构造,三角洲地区尤为常见。在海上采油平台建筑,钻井船的固定以及管道电缆的敷设中,对上述特征需要给予足够的重视,编绘某些重要层段的埋深,厚度和分布图供有关生产部门参考尤为必要。本文在渤海湾100平方公里的小范围内作了编制浅部沉积层图件的尝试。

An alluvial fan-delta, covering an area of 2,500 square kilometers, is formed at the foot of Yanshan mountains along the shore of Bohai Sea. An alluvial fan-delta, covering an area of 2,500 square kilometers, is formed at the foot of Yanshan mountains along the shore of Bohai Sea. The northern part of the complex consists of two upwairdfining post-glacial sedimentary sequences,in which no marine faunas are found; while in the southern part, the post-glacial formations are made up of an upward-fining sequence in the lowerpart and an upward-coarsing sequence in the upper part, both containing marine faunas. The lower part of the post-glacial sequence was deposited in the courseof transgression. With the rise of sea level and the datum plane in post-glacial time, sea water advanced into the land along the river valley. At the same time, accumulation of retrogressive deposits took, place in the lower reaches that filled in the river valley and formed the lower part of the sequence. The distance covered by retrogressive accumulations far excee dedthat of sea water. Marine faunas can only be found in the sequence within the reach of sea water, beyond which are continental beds without such fossils. Therefore, the transgressive sequences in the valley, with or withoutmarine faunas, are formed in a unified sedimentary process, so that the fluvial deposits in the north and the deltaic deposits in the south that constitute the upper part of the postglacial sequence are genetically related.

滦河经燕山山脉流入渤海,全长1200公里,年迳流量45.5亿米~3,年输沙量1900万吨。滦河于滦县出山口,在燕山山麓渤海之滨形成了面积约2500平方公里的冲积扇一三角洲。滦河冲积扇—三角洲的北部,冰后期沉积层由两个下粗上细的沉积层序构成,其中未发现海相生物,南部则由下段的下粗上细和上段的下细上粗层序构成,且含海相生物微体化石。冰后期沉积层的下部是在海进过程中形成的。冰后期海面上升,基面抬高,海水沿河进侵,同时河流下游出现溯源堆积。溯源堆积使河流充填,产生冰后期沉积层下部沉积层序。溯源堆积的距离远远超过海水溯河而上所能达到的距离。在海水影响可以到达的地方,海进河床充填层序含海相微体生物,而溯源堆积可以到达,而海水影响所不及的地方,海进河流充填层序不含海相生物,为陆相层。因此,海进河床充填层序,不论其含海相生物与否,都是由统一的沉积过程形成的。冰后期沉积层的上段,北部为河流层序,南部为三角洲层序,二者是在海退过程中沉积的,其成因联系是显而易见的。三角洲系海退沉积,但其形成是以海进作为前导,并由海进转化为海退。由此,滦河冲积扇—三角洲是成因上互相联系的。
