In this paper,we have synthesized the[ crystal [{Ni(mnt)_2}2][Na_2(benzo-15-crown-5)_3(H_2O)_2]and measured the nonlinear absorption coefficient of this crystal β=2.4 cm/GW. We think the mechanism of causing the nonlinear absorption is two -photon absorption.

Investigation of third order optical nonlinearity Z Scan shows that it exhibit considerably nonlinear refractive properties with α2 values of 1.1×10-11m·W-1 and n2 values of 6.055×10-18m2·W-1 respectively.
